Promoting the message of abstinence to our teens requires the support of parents as youth’s first and most effective teachers. As parents, you have a great opportunity to influence your teen to save sex for marriage. ReL8 seeks to help you maximize your influence by providing you with resources and support. ReL8 seeks to partner with parents by providing the following:
1) Information on ReL8’s Class 8 student presentations including our curriculum overview
2) Information and tips on how to effectively communicate with your teens about sex
3) Information on how to get ReL8 in your teen's school
4) Parent ReL8 workshops offered to community groups and organizations, and schools participating in Class 8 presentations
5) ReL8 parties held in the homes of Parent ReL8 members:
ReL8 parties are held in the homes of Parent ReL8 members who wish to provide a safe and comfortable place for their friends and family to discuss how to address saving sex for marriage with their children. Similar to any party, the host is responsible for inviting guests, providing snacks and prizes, if they'd like. A ReL8 educator will attend the party and provide guests with valuable information about teen trends and will help faciliate discussion.
